Dança - Box Nova: Doc.10
"Se recordar é mesmo viver então é desta que Paulo Henrique cumpre a missiva apregoada por Vítor Espadinha. É tempo de revisitar em tom sonoro e visual o trabalho do criador realizado sobretudo desde 1996 com a instalação performance "De Agora Em Diante / From now On". A ligação entre o orgânico e o tecnológico / poético e matemático é transversal em toda a sua obra, que se apresenta condensada neste “DOC.10”. Em suma, fica a lição dada, é tempo de estudar a matéria e ir até ao CCB para ver e rever que “a dança acontece no feminino, a performance no masculino, a imagem é híbrida.”/"

Live Review: WILD DOG 4: NAKEDThe Space, Friday 15 September 2006

"The evening, set in this intimate and friendly venue, consisted ofperformance art, film and music, all of it impressively professional and well presented

....Of the other films shown, Paulo Henrique's Contract with the Skin wasoutstanding. Originally a dance performance with its soundtrack partly generated by the performers' movements, it explored facets of ourrelationship with our outer layer. The film was accompanied by awonderful soundtrack, impressively realised by Rui Leitao, who hadcreated an intriguing acousmatic tapestry with voice-derived and material sounds." ...

A GROTESQUE LITTLE WORLD

The fabulously deranged artist Gregory Jacobsen was born in New Jersey, NY. I see his pictures as beautiful and grotesquely erotic. Gregory says his work is about his abject obsessions, which are mostly sexual.

"ONE SONG, ONE CITY" [IN.VISIBLE BODY] - concepts of time/space/ body = presence/absence and communication >> - TRAVEL // DUAL:: IDENTITY//LANGUAGE//PERCEPTION [space/time - place/object]

This project started to gain form in 2004 as live-acts in different cities around the world.
These Live-Acts are related with:
[1] non-present body (who's the live-act is dedicated);
[2] a song that is originally from another geography or interpreter / artist / band, sometimes in another language;
[3] a location related to non-present body (absent), personal or public space ;
[4] communication mediums : body , lyrics, song, city in a different perception / identity;
[5] space/time // travel /dual: analogies between numbers, dates, places, people, acts.

"One Song, One City" [IN.VISIBLE BODY] , a collective/individual memory of the past and present (distant / recent), re-ordered to the future in a format of Song + Place + Live act,
where the performer of the Live-act is not introduced / presented / produced. Most of the Live acts are spontaneous and not witnessed by a public, not in the conventional performance spaces and not considered as performance versus identity of: song + city.
Those Live acts are just documented on written and photographed format, ( word + image = principle forms of registering acts).
